Job Summary
Environmental Driver Specialist CDLB travels to customer locations on an assigned route to classify, segregate, package, transport, and dispose of waste in accordance with federal, state, local regulations and Clean Earth policies. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, labeling, securing and transporting waste, completing route paperwork (route sheets, manifests, BOLs), performing pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections, adhering to DOT hours of service, providing high-level customer service, and performing related warehouse duties. Requires operating equipment (forklift), navigating routing software, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Candidate must hold a Class B CDL, MEC, TWIC, and be able to pass DOT physical and background checks; HAZMAT/Tanker endorsement is preferred or obtainable within 90 days. Work may involve overnight stays and outdoor work in various conditions; strong English communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License
- Maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card
- HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsement preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- 1+ years route driving experience preferred
- 1+ years of waste industry experience preferred
