Job Summary
Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist with a strong focus on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Industrial Hygiene in Kennesaw, GA to support a variety of building-related and environmental consulting projects. Ideal candidate will have experience with asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint assessments, and exposure to Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and subsurface investigations. Responsibilities include performing IAQ/IH assessments (asbestos, mold, lead paint inspections), conducting site investigations, sampling, and preparing technical reports for IH/IAQ projects, supporting Phase I ESAs (reconnaissance and records reviews), assisting with Phase II investigations (soil, groundwater, vapor sampling), providing field oversight of drilling and subsurface activities, communicating findings to project managers and clients, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Preferred credentials include AHERA/Asbestos Inspector or similar, Phase II ESAs, subsurface investigations, and 40-hour HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in IAQ / industrial hygiene (asbestos, mold, lead paint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Phase I ESAs and environmental site assessments
- Experience with sampling techniques and field documentation
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work in a field-based environment
- Valid driver’s license
