Job Summary
Prepare technical reports and conduct site visits, including EHS audits, for clients across mergers and acquisitions and sustainable operations. Work as a key member of large multidisciplinary project teams to establish strong client relationships and build internal resource networks. Independently undertake site visits in the Sydney region, interview personnel, assess EHS risks, and develop practical recommendations delivered as clear, concise client-ready documents. Manage competing priorities under pressure while maintaining a total commitment to health and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in science, engineering or environmental management (or equivalent)
- EHS qualifications
- Proven track record in ESG/EHS/Sustainability consulting
- Environmental/ESG due diligence, EHS compliance, operational risk, environmental management or related consulting experience (typically 2+ years)
- Strong fieldwork, stakeholder communication and report writing skills
- Ability to independently undertake site visits (particularly in the Sydney region)
- Ability to interview personnel
- Ability to assess EHS risks
- Ability to develop practical recommendations
- Ability to communicate findings through clear, concise and client-ready deliverables
- Solid commercial acumen
- Business development skills
- Project management skills
- Total commitment to health and safety
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience writing proposals
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
- Willingness to travel, both within Australia and, on occasion, internationally
- Current driving license
