Job Summary
Environmental Consultant to provide cradle-to-grave project management for environmental projects including fieldwork data gathering, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Investigations, risk assessments, reporting, and invoicing. Based in Newmarket with travel to sites across the region; requires degree in engineering or natural science, minimum 2 years’ experience, full UK driving licence, strong client-facing and written communication skills, and ability to manage budgets and deliverables within client SLAs.
Required Qualifications
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering or natural science related discipline (e.g., Geology, Environmental Science, Physical Geography)
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as an Environmental Consultant
- Experience in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
- Demonstrated experience completing factual and interpretative Preliminary Risk Assessments (desk-based and intrusive)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Excellent organisational, time-management, analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and written skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with clients and the public
- Self-starting ability with problem-solving skills and sound judgement
