Job Summary
The Environmental & Social Auditor role involves leading and supporting site-based audits for projects financed by international lenders, ensuring compliance with ESAPs and IFC Performance Standards. Responsibilities include planning and conducting audits, preparing high-quality reports for lenders, managing audit logistics, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed during site visits. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Environmental or related fields, experience in E&S consultancy or auditing, and hold qualifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or Master’s degree in Environmental, Social or related discipline
- 3–6 years’ experience in E&S consultancy or auditing for internationally financed projects
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent management systems auditing qualification)
- Strong knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and lender compliance frameworks
- Experience auditing industrial, infrastructure or renewable energy sites
- Experience assessing E&S management systems and ESAP implementation

- Fluent English (Arabic or other regional languages advantageous)
- Strong project management capability
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills
- Confidence presenting audit findings to senior management and lender representatives
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Adaptable, proactive and solutions-driven approach
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and meet strict lender reporting deadlines
