Job Summary
Prepare environmental, planning, and regulatory approval documentation for mining, energy, infrastructure, and development projects. Coordinate environmental impact assessments, approvals strategies, and regulatory submissions while conducting desktop research, data review, and analysis. Support client, government agency, and stakeholder engagements, and manage multidisciplinary project teams regarding scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Participate in site visits, field investigations, and client meetings as required. Maintain understanding of relevant environmental legislation and manage project documentation and quality assurance processes. Assist in proposal preparation, business development, and client relationship management initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, or related discipline
- 3+ years' experience in environmental consulting, government, mining, energy, infrastructure or a related field
- Experience working with the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and/or Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and/or the Mining Act 1978
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel, including regional and remote travel
