Job Summary
Lead and support environmental compliance programs under federal, state, and local requirements, conducting audits, managing regulatory applicability evaluations, and preparing technical deliverables including compliance reports and permit applications. Serve as a technical advisor to clients, translating regulatory needs into practical solutions while providing quality control and mentoring for junior staff. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborate on proposal development, and build strong client relationships to drive repeat work and cross-selling. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality as a Project Manager or Task Lead, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and tracking financial performance. This hybrid role is based in Houston, TX, requiring US citizenship and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, chemistry, or a related field
- 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education implementing environmental compliance programs, client development, and working directly with regulatory agencies within environmental consulting, industry, or a regulatory agency
- Valid Driver's license
- US Citizenship

- Master's degree in a related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education implementing environmental compliance programs, client development, and working directly with regulatory agencies within environmental consulting, industry, or a regulatory agency
- Proven seller–doer experience, including client development, proposal support, and repeat work generation
- Established client relationships or market presence in regulated industries (e.g., manufacturing, life sciences, energy, chemicals, federal or state agencies)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing client-facing technical documents
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CHMM, CEA, or similar)
- Experience supporting ESG, sustainability, or emerging regulatory initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
