Job Summary
Inspect stormwater pollution prevention controls on active construction sites in South Austin and San Antonio, visiting 10 to 15 projects daily. Compile site observations into reports for project managers and update the Stormwater Prevention Pollution Plan (SWPPP). Communicate required compliance actions with construction managers to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Drive several hours daily through the elements while maintaining safety protocols and interacting directly with onsite client representatives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be comfortable driving several hours each day
- Must be physically able to walk construction projects
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to interact in person with each project's onsite client representative
- Computer literacy
- Fast typing
- The ability to navigate and use the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be safety-conscious
- Must be willing to follow OSHA and site-specific safety protocols
- Must possess a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a preemployment background check
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- This is not a remote position
Desired Qualifications
- A B.S. in Environmental Sciences or similar degree
- Equivalent experience in Stormwater Inspecting/Consulting
- Construction experience
