Job Summary
Environmental Compliance Field Inspector Manager to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). Responsibilities include field audits of environmental documentation and field activities, reviewing and preparing written technical reports documenting construction environmental compliance, reporting inconsistencies and permitting requirements to the environmental compliance team, and providing oversight of construction related to environmental compliance. The role requires interpreting scientific data and specifications, and travel across the NY/NJ Metro Area. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or geology and 8+ years of construction-site inspection experience; strong writing, analytical and communication skills; and a valid driver’s license. The position is based in the NY/NJ area with on-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline
- 8+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers)
