Environmental Cleaner & Laundry Assistant – Aged Care

Environmental Cleaner and Laundry Assistant roles at Lions Haven aged care facility in Hope Island, Queensland. Responsibilities include performing routine cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and offices; following infection control procedures and cleaning protocols; safely handling and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment; reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly; supporting a respectful and dignified environment for residents. Laundry duties include collecting, sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry items; operating commercial laundry equipment safely; maintaining cleanliness of the laundry area; labeling and returning items to residents; following infection control and safety procedures. Requirements include prior cleaning or laundry experience (preferably in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality), understanding of infection control practices, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills and a compassionate attitude, police check, current year influenza vaccination, and minimum two COVID vaccinations.
