Job Summary
Assigns and adjusts work schedules, coordinates inspections, and provides ongoing instruction to Environmental Services employees according to department standards. Cleans and disinfects assigned work areas, removes medical waste and linens, and maintains equipment used in performance of duties. Acts on behalf of upline to resolve work-related issues and actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures. Assumes ownership of various daily operations and initiatives, working across department sites for coverage and business need. Requires 1 year of recent experience in public service or environmental services, with competency in housekeeping materials and safety competencies.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of recent experience in public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping materials, supplies and equipment necessary to ensure a safe work environment
- Ability to conduct suitable training in the areas of housekeeping, sanitation and safety
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Self directed
- Ability to make quality, independent decisions
- Analytical and strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions
- Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality
- Ability to listen to others
- Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems
- Ability to resolve various employee and customer relation issues
- Drug-free workplace
- Compliance with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement if in an on-site or hybrid workplace category
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant experience in Leadership CRT-Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) – AHE, Association for the Healthcare Environment Cerification
