Job Summary
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas; remove medical waste, trash, and linens; and maintain floors, carpets, and upholstery. Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies according to department standards. Report maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements, assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital, and participate in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures. Work night shifts from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with variable weekend coverage. Fully trained and supported with no experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Must be able to work night shifts (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.)
- Must be able to work variable days
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Must comply with drug-free workplace requirement
- Must comply with MMR vaccine requirement
- Must comply with Varicella vaccine requirement
- Must comply with Tdap vaccine requirement
- Must comply with Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Public service experience
- Customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting
