Job Summary
Environmental Aide I at Samaritan Hospital (Evening, Part Time) performs cleaning and sanitization to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, adhering to infection control policies, maintaining communication with other departments, and following established procedures to support a positive patient-care environment. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic English literacy, and high school-level education or equivalent; operates within SPHP standards of behavior and is part of the Environmental Services team with opportunities for growth and development.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate, G.E.D. or job-related education
- Read, write and speak English at a minimum 6th grade level
- Able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
- Basic knowledge of how to dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize
- Follow training policies and infection control procedures
