Job Summary
Per diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in the Environmental Services Department. Shift 3:30 PM–11:30 PM, includes every other weekend. Starting rate $21.21/hr. Responsibilities include general cleaning, emptying trash, high/low dusting, mopping, sanitizing patient rooms and furniture, cleaning bathrooms, removing debris, replacing soiled linen with fresh linen, and cleaning bodily fluids. Works at Union Campus. Requires HS diploma or GED/equivalent, ability to read/write/speak English, strong work history, ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, and working papers if under 18. Prior housekeeping experience in hospital or institutional settings and 1–2 years of customer service experience in healthcare or related areas preferred. 16+ and NJA300 working papers required for under-18 candidates.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Solid work history
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be 16 or older (prior to hire, must complete NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers)
- If 16 or 17 years-old, valid working papers required
- Prior housekeeping experience in hospital or institutional setting preferred
- Prior Floor-care experience preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality or relevant area preferred
