Job Summary
Check EVS carts for stocked, labeled chemical supplies and clean, sanitize floors, walls, patient rooms, and public areas. Remove trash, transport soiled linens to the soiled linen room, and distribute clean linens to patient areas. Ensure adequate paper supply in all bathrooms while maintaining records for regulatory compliance. Perform duties including cleaning bodily fluids, adhering to bloodborne pathogen safety, fire safety, and OSHA regulations. Work 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts with rotating weekends, standing for most of the shift and lifting up to 50 lbs. Starting rate is $18.50/hr. Previous hospital housekeeping experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to apply elementary math functions
- Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- Must be able to be on feet for most of the shift
- Must demonstrate proficiency in personal, patient and team member safety regarding blood borne pathogens, needle stick prevention, fire safety, bed tracking and discharge communication, hospital codes, lock out-tag out procedures, hand washing, patient satisfaction, OSHA regulations, maintaining records and reports necessary for regulatory compliance
