Environmental Advisor (2 year fixed term)

Assist the Macraes operation to meet all regulatory and OceanaGold requirements by liaising with personnel, consultants, auditors, and legal advisors. Provide environmental advice to operational teams and on-site projects while establishing relationships with external stakeholders. Identify, plan, and implement environmental improvements, undertaking monitoring and reporting of key operational requirements. Support the preparation of regulatory approvals and manage covenants and biodiversity activities in line with consent conditions. This role involves a roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off, from 7:00am to 4:30pm daily in Otago, NZ. A tertiary qualification in Environmental or Earth Sciences is required, with a preference for field-based experience and a valid New Zealand working visa.
