Job Summary
Conduct general custodial maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning and restocking restrooms. Perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies, empty trash receptacles, and bag trash for proper disposal. Unlock and secure doors after cleaning areas, report supply needs or work orders, and assist new staff in on-the-job training. Provide vendor access when necessary and handle seasonal tasks such as snow removal or minor maintenance like replacing light bulbs. Requires considerable physical activity with heavy lifting of objects up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety procedures.

- Ability to understand verbal instructions

- Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check
- Heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds
- Considerable physical activity
- Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job
