Environment Protection Officer

Reporting to the Team Leader, Environment Protection, the Environment Protection Officer supports EPA’s on-ground regulatory response in the region, including education, compliance monitoring and inspections, and managing non-compliance via regulatory notices and enforcement action. You will implement regulatory actions to safeguard communities and the environment, contribute to a high-performing team, support investigations and preventative projects, and collaborate with government, industry, and community partners to enhance environmental outcomes. Strong capability in regulatory operations, understanding of government legislation, and ability to manage projects and prioritise tasks are required. Strong problem-solving, commitment to professional growth, and integrity are emphasized; in-office presence is required with at least 3 days in the office. Applications close 28 June 2026.
