Job Summary
Lead the Health and Safety program at the Sterling facility, partnering with management and stakeholders to implement OSHA and environmental policies; deliver training to hourly employees; coordinate safety upgrades with Manufacturing Engineering; organize wellness and safety initiatives; perform ergonomic analyses; conduct safety audits; manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs; ensure regulatory compliance and data reporting; collaborate across locations to share best practices and sustain a culture of safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an occupational or environmental health science degree or field
- Master’s Degree or CSP designation preferred
- 3+ years of experience working in Health & Safety
- 1-2 years’ experience with sustainability and environmental protocols
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to facilitate and lead group of employees
- Strong analytical abilities
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated initiative in proactively identifying future potential safety risks and suggesting or implementing appropriate solutions
- Ability to motivate and inspire others in working towards a common goal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with multiple areas of the organization.
