Job Summary
Environment, Health & Safety specialist responsible for supporting the EHS Manager in delivering a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment across the site with a focus on Machinery, Process, and Electrical Safety. Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programmes; drive proactive EHS culture; manage Machinery, Process, and Electrical Safety risk management; lead site risk management activities; conduct inspections, audits, and walkthroughs; support incident investigations and emergency response; contribute to business continuity and governance frameworks; ensure compliance with Haleon EHS standards and relevant legislation. The role requires collaboration with site leadership, EHS teams, duty holders, SMEs, and operational personnel to embed EHS processes across all site activities.
Required Qualifications
- Essential Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or relevant practical experience
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of Machinery Safety principles
- Understanding of Process Safety and Electrical Safety
- Desirable Experience contributing to Duty Holder governance frameworks
- Additional EHS qualifications or certifications
- Experience Demonstrable experience managing health and safety programmes within a regulated environment
- Experience working in a manufacturing or R&D laboratory setting
