Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning functions in designated areas, including sterile zones like operating rooms and MRI suites, while adhering to safety guidelines and proper PPE use. Document assignments, manage hazardous and regular waste, and operate laundry equipment and waste processing machines. Deliver supplies to correct locations and perform various utility duties as assigned. Maintain equipment storage and record keeping. Requires one year of housekeeping experience, ability to lift 10-25 lbs daily, and proficiency with electronic devices. Full-time second shift role at Kettering Health in Centerville.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of housekeeping and/or service-related field
- Floor care experience
- Able to lift/push/pull 10lbs to 25lbs daily
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service towards staff and patients
- Knowledge of electronic devices (computer, tablets, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, communicate and understand written instructions given in English
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must have the ability to plan, initiate responsibilities and follow through with the minimum direction
- Strong communication skills, attitude, and attendance
