Env. of Care Compliance and Safety Specialist

Job Summary
Env. of Care Compliance and Safety Specialist responsible for maintaining facility safety and regulatory compliance. Performs basic preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds; conducts carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to support the facility. Maintains written records for compliance with the Department of Health, JCC, and other regulatory agencies. Conducts regular preventive maintenance checks, environmental safety rounds, assesses facility condition, and makes improvement recommendations. Performs and documents drills, contributes to After-Action reports, and participates in EC and IC Committee meetings. Maintains annual TB screening, Hepatitis B, and other annual requirements. Follows all Environment of Care policies and procedures, attends in-service training, and works independently while being flexible to changing requirements. Requires ability to perform heavy lifting and holds a valid Arkansas driver's license. Flu vaccination is mandatory for all positions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in maintenance or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills (well versed in using computers and different technologies)
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
- Ability to work under various working conditions (bend, stoop, lift, stand for eight hours)
- Requires ability to perform heavy lifting (at least 80 lbs.)
- Must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and be insurable
- Flu vaccination is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to exemptions)
