Job Summary
Operate pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, and vacuum equipment to ensure wastewater treatment systems remain functional. Maintain hazardous waste disposal injection wells and assigned machinery while promptly reporting malfunctions. Record daily system readings, inspect pump leachate, trim vegetation around facilities, and collect storm water samples. Enter data into spreadsheets, maintain equipment maintenance logs, and track receipt, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste. Manage records of waste received and shipped off-site. Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and electrical and hydraulic support systems
- Knowledge of collection systems, including pump stations and regulator stations
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory, cross connections and pumps
- A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
- Waste Water Treatment Operator certification
