Job Summary
Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer at AECOM in North Charleston, SC. Responsibilities include pump station evaluation and design, water distribution hydraulic modeling, sewer collection system evaluation and design, assisting with plans, specifications, and permitting, civil engineering modeling and drafting, preparing/reviewing cost estimates and project budgets, coordinating with multi-discipline teams, and documenting project information. Requires a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD, ability to perform field work, travel 2–3 days occasionally, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred qualifications include Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or FE, and up to 6 months of related experience. Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Must be able to conduct field work, tolerate variable environmental conditions, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to travel on business periodically for periods of up to 2-3 days
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive rental vehicles on behalf of the company
- Must be able to work collaboratively in teams and independently when necessary
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
