Entry Level Traffic Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct field observations to collect traffic data and perform safety evaluations and crash assessments. Execute traffic studies using HCS and Synchro software to develop solutions mitigating traffic deficiencies and prepare technical memorandums and reports. Assist in conceptual layouts depicting recommended improvements and coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by defined deadlines. Learn traffic control devices design including signing, markings, signals, lighting, and ITS using CAD software. Act as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers while interpreting and organizing assignments with limited supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program
- 0-5 years of experience
- Proficient in traffic analysis software such as HCS and Synchro
- Familiar with Highway Capacity Manual and ITE Trip Generation Manual
Desired Qualifications
- EIT or PE License
- Familiar with MUTCD, AASHTO, and Highway Safety Manual
