Job Summary
Design, implement, and configure building automation systems by creating instrument lists from P&ID drawings and compiling procurement documentation. Assemble development systems, configure user interfaces and control algorithms for DDC, PLC, and DCS, and draft system documentation. Install project software on site, perform loop checks, calibrate instruments, and troubleshoot installation discrepancies. Assist with customer demonstrations, acceptance testing, and developing commissioning test plans and training materials. Work in a supervised role across global offices and customer sites to improve client sustainability and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a Technical Field, related to Engineering or Systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projects
- Passionate about problem solving and developing solutions
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Relevant Co-op experience
- Manufacturing process knowledge or building/facility management knowledge
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control System (DCS), and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) experience
- Familiarity with web development technologies
- Design and Implementation of Relational/Document Databases and Historians (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, OSIsoft, etc.)
