Entry Level- Survey Rod Person

The Entry Level Survey Rod Person will operate and maintain survey equipment under the direction of the Party Chief, collect and download survey data, and assist with loading and storage of gear while upholding safety standards. Responsibilities include understanding and operating surveying instruments (Static GPS, RTK, GPS, conventional total station, data collectors, levels, pipeline locator, magnetometer), ensuring equipment is functional, performing daily maintenance and security of gear, reporting issues to supervision, assisting with loading of equipment and field operations, reviewing project drawings with the Party Chief, completing daily status forms, and preparing field notes and maps. Strong emphasis on outdoor work, navigation, map reading, teamwork or solo work, and physical fitness for field conditions. Preferred qualifications include AutoCAD experience, FAA Part 107 certification, Leica robotic total station and GNSS experience, related civil/geospatial coursework, and Carlson plugin familiarity.
