Job Summary
Conduct structural design for infrastructure projects including bridges, waterfront infrastructure, and horizontal construction on the West Coast. Manage planning, design, permitting, and construction phases for public and private clients. Collaborate with project teams and clients while engaging in technical training and educational programs. This exempt position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis, an EIT, and coursework in concrete, steel, and timber. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with non-linear analysis and seismic design. The role offers a salary of $77,000-$87,000, 40-hour work schedule, and hybrid flexibility after training. KPFF provides 7 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacation, 401(k) matching, and monthly stipends for cell phones and remote work.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis)
- EIT is required
- Concrete, steel, and timber coursework and /or design experience
- Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design experience
- Familiarity with non-linear analysis
- Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
- Must be able to lift items up to 15 lbs
- Duties require the ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day
- Duties require in-person attendance, Monday through Friday, during our business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM at our office in Downtown Los Angeles for the training period
Desired Qualifications
