Job Summary
Entry level Specimen Accessioner responsibilities include preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, unpacking and routing specimens, accurately identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping to testing facilities, meeting department production goals, preparing and storing specimen samples, data entry of patient information, and resolving problematic specimens. Requires comfort with handling biological specimens, strong data entry and organizational skills, proficiency with MS Office, ability to lift up to 40lbs, and a high level of attention to detail; prior Labcorp experience and clinical/lab knowledge are preferred. Schedule includes Tue–Fri 9:00–5:30 and Sat 10:30–7:00 with required overtime; benefits available for qualifying hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current or prior Labcorp experience
- One year or more of prior clinical/lab experience
- One year or more of prior knowledge of specimen accessioning
- One year or more of previous experience in production or manufacturing
