Job Summary
Define and maintain software product roadmaps for embedded software, developer tools, middleware, and software ecosystems. Gather and analyze customer requirements, market trends, and competitive information to translate needs into product requirements and feature definitions. Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical capabilities, tradeoffs, and priorities while assisting with backlog management. Support product launches by creating presentations, collateral, and training materials. Present recommendations and proposals to cross-functional teams and management. Track industry trends in embedded systems, IoT, AI, and connectivity. Work with ecosystem partners and open-source communities to drive platform adoption.
Required Qualifications
- Recent BS or MS graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 0-2 years experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of following areas is highly desirable, but not required: Embedded software development using C or C++
- ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
- Firmware development, board bring-up, or hardware/software debugging
- Real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr
- Wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, Matter, Zigbee, NFC, or UWB
- Software development tools including Git, CI/CD, IDEs, debuggers, and build systems
- Agile software development methodologies
- Open-source software projects or communities
- Technical internships, capstone projects, research projects, or personal software projects
