Entry Level Software Engineer - Site Reliability (Remote - Mexico)

Job Summary
Build automation tools to monitor site stability and performance while ensuring infrastructure reliability and scalability for over 100 million monthly users. Troubleshoot site issues using Splunk, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry, and contribute to production code by writing and shipping code alongside developers. Develop custom tools in Python, Puppet, Git, Jenkins, and Terraform to leverage AI tooling and empower product teams with self-service automation. Participate in light, geographically distributed on-call rotations to support follow-the-sun operations. Collaborate with a globally distributed team to help keep Yelp fast, available, and secure.
Required Qualifications
- All communication for this role, both spoken and written, will be conducted in English
- Familiarity with Linux
- Skill in at least one of your favourite modern programming languages: Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, etc
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (we use AWS, but experience with Azure/GCP is fine)
