Job Summary
Entry-Level Ski Lift Maintenance Assistant/Mechanic responsible for assisting in routine maintenance and inspections of chairlifts, gondolas, and surface lifts; support mechanics with daily start-up procedures and pre-operational checks; perform basic tasks such as cleaning equipment, tightening bolts, and monitoring equipment under supervision; learn to identify and report signs of mechanical wear or abnormal operation; transport tools and equipment to lift locations; maintain clean and organized workspaces; adhere to safety policies and use PPE; participate in on-the-job training to develop skills and advance to higher-level mechanic roles; heavy outdoor work in alpine conditions, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel around lift terminals; requires mechanical aptitude, outdoor work tolerance, and a valid US driver’s license; full-time year-round role with early mornings, weekends, holidays, nights, and overtime as needed; includes comprehensive benefits for eligible employees.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with tools, equipment, or outdoor machinery
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must have or ability to obtain a valid US driver’s license
- Intermediate ski/snowboard ability preferred
- The expected pay range is $21.47/hr - $26.29/hr
