Job Summary
Entry Level Outside Sales Representative for Spectrum in Cleveland Heights, OH. Responsible for acquiring new residential customers by visiting leads, performing consultative needs analyses, presenting tailored sales proposals, and completing required sales documentation. Roles include achieving monthly targets across high-speed data, mobile, landline, and video services; participating in sales meetings and training; monitoring competitors; and traveling outdoors to assigned territories with minimal office time. Compensation includes a base salary plus incentives with potential total earnings over six figures, plus employee benefits such as Spectrum services. Requires multilingual communication (English and Spanish), strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to travel to and from company facilities. Typical duties also involve door-to-door or local travel, and using standard computer and device technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand multiple languages (English and Spanish)
- Engaging interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services
- A passion to succeed and strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, and as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- A valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Experience
- 2+ years sales or relevant work experience
- Success in a previous sales position, prospecting or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred
- Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals and ability to educate consumers on related products and services as needed
- Bilingual Spanish Preferred
