Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative for Spectrum responsible for acquiring new residential customers by visiting assigned leads and introducing Spectrum’s offerings, conducting consultative needs analyses, presenting compelling sales proposals, completing required sales documentation, and achieving monthly sales targets across high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video services. The role requires traveling to and from assigned territories, spending approximately 90% of time outdoors with minimal time in an office, and working evenings and weekends. Benefits include base salary with incentives and potential total compensation over $100,000 annually, plus Spectrum services; requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and own vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language
- Engaging interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services
- A passion to succeed and strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, and as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- A valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
