Job Summary
Conduct forensic site inspections and structural assessments of existing homes, buildings, or structures. Complete forensic structural engineering evaluations and reports, including residential and commercial structural design. Perform crawl space, attic, basement, and roof inspections while communicating technical findings to clients, contractors, and architects. Work on construction administration projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Travel to inspection sites and prepare detailed technical reports. Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil, construction, or architectural engineering with EIT certification, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, construction or architectural engineering from an accredited engineering program
- Engineering Intern Training (EIT) Certification
- Proven technical writing and report writing skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients daily
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Willing to perform crawl spaces, attics, basements, and roof inspections
- Must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and balance
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and AutoCAD
- Valid Driver's license with a good driving record
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
