Job Summary
Support shop employees, facilities, and maintenance groups with recycling, errands, general building maintenance, machine service, inventory, and chip and oil handling to facilitate parts flow. Maintain machine cleanliness and oil/coolant levels by changing filters, servicing mist collectors, and performing routine inspections. Track oil quantities, organize waste barrels, and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments. Perform general area upkeep and other duties as necessary. Requires a high school diploma, 1-2 years shop experience, valid driver's license, forklift certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Must obtain NH DES Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certificate and DOT hazardous shipment training.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in a shop environment
- Able to perform general maintenance tasks
- Mechanically inclined
- Self-starter; work with little or no supervision
- Obtain NH DES Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certificate
- Attend DOT hazardous shipment training
- Must possess valid driver's license from his/her state of residence
- Forklift certifiable
- Able to obtain DOT health card
- Must have ability to pass medical evaluation for respirator use and abide by requirements for wearing respiratory protection
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds in a safe manner and request assistance when warranted
- Must be able to climb in and out of small places; crawl around machinery
- Must have range of motion sufficient to permit climbing stairs and ladders, walking, standing, stooping and crouching for extended periods while performing duties
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass background check
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years' experience in a shop environment desired
- Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Epicor maintenance software
