Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer (Delta Screen)

Job Summary
Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, create and revise engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor, and develop bills of materials for manufacturing and customer proposals. Provide technical support to manufacturing, resolve production challenges, and participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities. Perform engineering calculations including stress analysis and material selection, while supporting quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Coordinate with purchasing on material specifications and assist in prototype development, testing, and product validation. Work in both office and manufacturing environments, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds and wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience are welcome)
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work in both an office and manufacturing environment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in manufacturing areas
