Job Summary
Perform all tasks involved in the production of Sunshine Minting's products, including annealing, blanking, breakdown, burnishing, coining, milling, packaging, polishing, rolling, weighing, or other assigned duties while following standard work methods and safe practices. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment as necessary to produce products according to verbal or written instructions. Monitor and use gauges and machines, read work orders and daily production schedules, and accurately fill out appropriate paperwork. Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile work environment by changing gloves continuously and adhering to quality standards. Work with minimal supervision in a moderate temperature and noise level, wearing hearing protection as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months manufacturing related experience
- equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- mechanical aptitude
- ability to use special or standard hand tools
- ability to produce products according to verbal or written instructions
- ability to operate hand tools, power tools and equipment
- ability to lift at least 35 lbs continuously
- ability to stand, sit, walk or bend as needed
- ability to push carts, with or without assistance
- ability to properly communicate with co-workers and Supervisors
- ability to be organized
- ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- ability to maintain a sterile environment including changing gloves continuously
- ability to work safe and stay focused at all times
- ability to pay close attention to detail
- ability to understand quality standards
- ability to correctly monitor and use gauges, machines and equipment
- ability to read work orders/daily production schedules
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to use hands and arms continuously
- ability to maintain a clean, safe work environment and remain focused at all times
