Job Summary
Join Hawkins Partners as an Entry-Level Landscape Architect where you'll assist in the development of urban landscape projects from concept to construction documentation. Responsibilities include contributing to design concepts, supporting the development of planting plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design, 0-3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in design software, and excellent communication skills. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design from an accredited program
- 0-3 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or urban design, with a focus on urban projects
- Strong design skills and ability to communicate design ideas through hand sketches and digital media
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or willingness to learn Vectorworks within three months of hire
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or Revit
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign
- Basic understanding of landscape construction materials and methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with or interest in learning parametric design tools such as Grasshopper
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly Revit
- Experience in computational analysis for data-informed decision making
- Has a willingness to learn new software and understand potential application to enhance our office's services
- Experience working with the application of AI platforms to landscape architecture.
