Job Summary
Install, service, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, including changing filters, cleaning coils, checking drains, and hooking up gauges. Perform basic maintenance on commercial environmental-control systems while providing excellent customer service. This 90-day program evaluates performance on a 30/60/90 day basis to determine hiring as an HVAC Technician Class I. Candidates must climb ladders, lift 50+ pounds, and tolerate confined spaces and seasonal temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 or more pounds
- Must be able to distinguish colors for electrical work
- Must be able to tolerate confined spaces
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Strong adaptability skills
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
Desired Qualifications
- Trade/Technical School certification or degree
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer and tablets
