Job Summary
Entry-Level Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer in Boeing's Vertical Lift Division focused on stability and control analysis, control-law design, and modeling/simulation of rotorcraft. Responsibilities include analyzing air-vehicle stability, developing and validating linear/nonlinear models, supporting rotorcraft configuration design from a stability/handling perspective, wind-tunnel and flight testing, pilot-in-the-loop simulations, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and collaboration across aerodynamics, avionics, structures, and crew systems. Tools include Matlab/Simulink and related programming in Windows/Unix environments. Occasional travel to off-site flight test locations; 10% travel; 100% on-site in Ridley Park, PA; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; relocation not negotiable; willing to work flexible hours including overtime/weekends when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience/ coursework in Flight Vehicle Dynamics, Aircraft Stability & Control, Control Law Design, Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Simulation and Modeling; rotorcraft coursework or exposure preferred
- ABET accreditation is preferred but not required
