Job Summary
Entry-Level Field Technician responsibilities include performing soil and concrete testing, observing site activities, and providing data reporting under supervision, with local travel to Jefferson-area project sites. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather. Tasks involve operating testing equipment, using drawings/specifications/diagrams, maintaining detailed test data, and adhering to controlled procedures. Physical requirements include lifting 30–50 pounds, kneeling/squatting, and the ability to walk/stand for extended periods. Overtime and off-shift availability may be required. Preferred experience in construction materials testing and TWIC Card.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
- Excellent communication skills and handwriting
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime a needed
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights
- Applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance
