Job Summary
Conduct crop and research trial establishment, including measuring plots, planting, and harvesting. Mix and apply crop protection products under supervision while operating farm equipment as required. Assist with loading, hauling, and maintaining equipment at research sites. Enter data into the SCOUT system and monitor sales demonstration trials. Perform field activities such as weeding, detasseling, and sampling while adhering to all safety policies and SOPs. Attend required safety meetings and follow daily direction from supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
- Ability to work flexible hours, extended hours, or shifts during peak seasons
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures accurately
- Ability to bend, lift, sit, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to read and write and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow daily direction from supervisors
- General knowledge of computer operating systems
- 1–3 years of experience
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting approximately 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of college or experience in an agricultural field
- Non-commercial or commercial pesticide applicator license in the state of residency
- Agricultural or farm experience
