Job Summary
Entry Level Engineer in Instrumentation & Controls will work on instrumentation design and will prepare tasks such as Hook-up & Installation drawings, Wiring & loop sheets, Instrument lists, I/O lists, JB & Panel location layouts, Cable Schedule and Cable Tray layouts, Grounding layout, and BOM for multi-discipline engineering projects. The role involves creating user applications to monitor and control production of consumer goods to satisfy regulatory agencies, and requires ability to organize and execute multiple project responsibilities, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and REVIT is a plus; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected. The team operates within Barry-Wehmiller’s engineering and manufacturing technology environment across industries including food & beverage, life sciences, industrial, and advanced technology, with a focus on delivering design solutions for production environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- 0-2 years of experience in basics of Instrumentation design concepts & Deliverables
- Project experience / Knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical and REVIT skills is a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility with tasks and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
