Job Summary
Entry Level Engineer at Phillips Tank & Structure, based in the Cranberry/Braddock area with duties including performing structural design calculations for steel structures using Mathcad, creating fabrication drawings for automation in purchasing and fabrication, coordinating with suppliers for material requirements, applying API/industry codes in design packages, visiting project sites to measure conditions, refining SolidWorks design tools, and supporting field construction activities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, proficiency with SolidWorks (or similar), and strong math and communication skills; US work authorization required. Salary is commensurate with experience. There is no relocation offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering
- 2+ years of experience or equivalent training using SolidWorks or other 3D drafting software is a plus
- Excellent math skills in algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
- Strong communication skills, both orally and written
- Be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
