Job Summary
Direct Service Worker needed to support a residential program for individuals experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities include monitoring safety during rounds, managing conflict with emphasis on safety, screening residents and visitors, maintaining written documentation (logbook entries, incident reports, progress notes), inventory management, conducting fire safety drills and logs, providing emergency first aid/CPR/NARCAN as needed, assisting with inspections/audits, escorting clients, and serving meals. The role requires teamwork, empathy, strong communication, ability to maintain professional boundaries, and willingness to obtain certifications as needed. Overtime is mandatory. Locations are in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens). Benefits and opportunities for training and development are provided. Compensation listed as $35,470 annually.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- CPR Certification or ability to obtain
- NYC Fire Safety Guard Certification or ability to obtain
- TB clearance when required
- Basic computer literacy
