Job Summary
Entry Level Diesel Technician responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company-owned tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment; diagnose and repair heavy truck components including diesel engines, transmissions, axles; perform tire maintenance; read repair manuals and repair orders; use diagnostic software; must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds; shift schedule includes evening hours; must have a valid driver’s license and High School/Vocational training; competitive starting salary based on experience/location.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience with on the job training or diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school required
- Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required
- High School or combination of training and/or experience required
- Drivers license required
- Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders
- Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
- Must possess excellent computer skills
