Entry-Level Construction Materials Engineering Technician

Job Summary
Perform field and lab tests on concrete, soils, asphalt, and masonry to ensure construction quality and safety; participate in on-the-job training and obtain certifications through ACI and ICC; operate company vehicle safely; work outdoors in varying weather with travel/out-of-town requirements; maintain equipment and accurately report test results and data using Metafield; follow IBC codes and contribute to project documentation; must have a high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, and strong English communication and math skills; full-time, entry-level role in Knoxville, TN with potential overtime and weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely (Truck or SUV)
- Valid United States driver's license or IDP for driving in the US with acceptable driving record
- Willingness to learn and obtain certifications (ACI, ICC)
- Strong communication in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Basic math skills with understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and travel/out-of-town requirements
- Compliance with fleet management and safety policies
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
