Job Summary
Entry Level Composites Layup Technician responsible for assembling composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, aramid) using routers, sanders, and hand tools to shape and finish parts. Assist in fitting core components with close tolerances, lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials or use templates to develop patterns. Gain familiarity with hi-temp plastics, pre-impregnated epoxy composite materials, graphite epoxy, wet graphite, and silicone injection molding. Focus on delivering quality products on time while ensuring safety and following written work instructions and standard procedures. Previous plant/production experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are part of the requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Previous work experience in a plant or production environment
- Lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis using proper lifting techniques
- Work with small hand tools, including routers, die grinders, band saws, and Dremel tools for layup and assembly tasks
- Use basic mathematics skills and precision measuring tools to support layup and assembly processes
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
