Job Summary
Install, service, and clean commercial ice machines for restaurants, bars, and hospitals while performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Manage ice pickup and delivery, maintain truck stock and vehicle cleanliness, and accurately document all service visits with photos and reports. Follow standard operating procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction. Drive the first-time fix rate and efficient billing by communicating clearly with customers and coworkers. Operate a vehicle for up to 60% of shifts and work flexible schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service-oriented technical role or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components related to ice machines or similar equipment
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and standard repair practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure service calls are completed in a timely manner
- Skills in maintaining organized records and documentation of service activities
- Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude and strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service protocols in the field of ice machine repair and maintenance
- Strong work ethic and dedication to new technologies and service protocols in the field of ice machine repair and maintenance
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
- Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the hours worked
